Meetings are usually held the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM and are open to the public. Anyone interested in serving on the board or as a volunteer at the Library should call 315-493-2620.

CARTHAGE FREE LIBRARY POLICIES

Borrower Information:
- Anyone age 16 and over may have a library membership with your photo identification and proof of your current address.
- Children 15 and younger must have a parent approve membership and show proper identification.
Loan Periods:
- New adult books are loaned for 14 days, and can only be renewed if no one is waiting for that book (no holds are placed against it). New children's books are loaned for 28 days and can be renewed.
- All other fiction and non-fiction books are loaned for 28 days and can be renewed unless there is a hold by another patron.
- Reference material is not loaned out but can be used in the library.
- Fines for keeping books longer than the due date are $.10 per day with a maximum fine of $2.00. After 60 days the book is presumed lost and you will be billed for a replacement.
Dress and Behavior:
- Smoking is not permitted in the Library or on Library property.
- Shoes and shirts are required in the Library.
- Individuals who are rowdy, swear, use foul language, loiter, deface or damage library property will be suspended, may lose privileges, and may be prosecuted.
- Any suspected or observed illegal behavior will be reported to the police.
